Bike shipping arrangements finalized

Well, it's a done deal. Shipping for the bike was finalized today. Tentative pick-up in Ohio between 8/8/05 and 8/11/05. I'd contacted a number of shipping outfits via the web for quotes. The ranged from $605.00 to almost $800 depending on the size of the bike and the location of pickup/drop-off.

Oddly enough the least expensive of the options was the one that would be the quickest and easies for the guys back in Ohio. JC Motors located in southern California got the call after an independant recommendation by regions #1 Ducati dealer gave them a recommendation. Always good to get satisfied customer feedback.

Now it's all about the waiting. Waiting waiting waiting. Time is really running short of us this year since I'd have to be back by Sept 6th or leave after Sept 16th and weather during September in AK would likely be a deal killer. At this point I'm worrie we wont' make it this year. Which is not a huge shock since we've had less than 1 month to try and find, buy and get bikes as well as plan.

We may still make a trek into BC this year and I'm already getting prepared to ride to Reno for the Air Races (Gerbing here I come!).
